Babeny Farm is a Duchy Dartmoor Hill Farm. The farm is rich in history and also an ancient Dartmoor tenement. It dates all the way back to the 13th century where it was a Mill for the parish of Lydford.
We maintain a long history of horses and horsemanship including national hunt racing, hunting, point-to-pointing an Arab Stud, Dartmoor Ponies, and a livery and hacking yard established over a half century.
This year the farm has reverted back to Pedigree South Devon cattle, which my grandfather used to farm. We are slowly building our new herd which will predominantly be a suckler herd.
There are stunning walks or a local tea room at Dartmeet a couple of miles away.
We look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful part of the moor.
